Day 01

Negombo's Relaxed Coast

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to Negombo, a laid-back coastal town with wide sandy beaches. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring beachfront cafés and the lively evening market. Overnight in Negombo.

Day 02

Rock Fortress & Rural Life

Proceed to Sigiriya to climb the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress and visit the Dambulla Cave Temple with its ancient murals. Round off the day with an evening village tour, a great chance to engage with locals and rural Sri Lankan life. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 03

Elephants of Minneriya

Set out on a morning safari at Minneriya National Park, a dry-zone reserve known for its high density of Asian elephants, best between June and September. Return to Sigiriya for a relaxed remainder of the day. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Day 04

Temples & Botanic Gardens

Proceed to Kandy to visit the Sacred Tooth Relic Temple beside Kandy Lake, followed by a leisurely drive through the Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens. In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural dance show and a short city tour. Overnight in Kandy.

Little England's Tea Trails

Travel to Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England” for its cool climate and colonial-era architecture. Visit a working tea factory to taste authentic Ceylon black tea, then spend the evening at leisure by Gregory Lake. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 06

World's End & Waterfalls

Spend a full day exploring Horton Plains National Park, home to the dramatic World’s End cliff and the cascading Baker’s Falls, both must-see natural wonders of the hill country. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 07

Rails to Ella's Peaks

Take an early transfer to Nanu Oya or Ohiya station for the scenic hill-country train to Ella, one of the world’s most beautiful rail journeys through tea estates and misty mountains. Visit Nine Arch Bridge and, optionally, Little Adam’s Peak. Overnight in Ella.

Elephant Herds of Udawalawe

Proceed to Udawalawe for an afternoon safari in Udawalawe National Park, known for its large resident elephant herds roaming open grasslands, a rewarding contrast to the misty hill country left behind. Overnight in Udawalawe.

Colonial Ramparts of Galle

Proceed to Galle to visit the Galle Dutch Fort, a 17th-century colonial fortress with cobbled streets, boutique shops and trendy cafés, offering a relaxed afternoon of history and seaside charm. Overnight in Galle.

Unawatuna's Calm Shores

Enjoy a free day to relax at Unawatuna Beach, best visited November to April, known for its calm waters, laid-back beach shacks and easygoing café scene, a well-earned pause before the journey continues. Overnight in Galle.

Colombo City Highlights

Check out and proceed to Colombo for a city tour taking in Galle Face Green, Independence Square and the bustling Pettah Market, a lively finale showcasing the capital’s blend of heritage and modern energy. Overnight in Colombo.

Departure Day

Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight, bringing to a close an eleven-night journey spanning heritage sites, wildlife parks, hill country and the southern coast at a relaxed, value-conscious pace.
